About BLOOM

Join us for a spring-inspired piano showcase centered on the theme of bloom—a musical exploration of growth, transformation, and the journey into womanhood. Through a blend of powerful, expressive, and intimate works, each piece reflects different stages of becoming, much like a flower coming into full bloom.

ABOUT MONICA

Monica is a multi-faceted Creative, Producer, Entrepreneur, and Pianist whose forte lies in art, storytelling, creativity, and execution. From designing experiences across advertising, beauty, and music, she has always been driven by a relentless creative instinct—crafting moments that are intentional, emotional, and unforgettable.

As a former Advertising Agency Producer, she has partnered with major brands/clients, leading end-to-end campaigns across digital, social, video, and radio. Known for blending vision with precision, Monica brings ideas to life with both creativity and clarity.

Alongside her agency work, she is the founder of MoJoGlow Makeup Artistry, her award-winning brand known for elevated bridal, editorial, and natural glam experiences.

Music marks one of the most transformative chapters of her journey. After a 25-year hiatus, Monica returned to the piano during the pandemic teaching herself to play and discovering it as a powerful tool for healing, connection, and expression. What began as something deeply personal evolved into a core part of her purpose.

Today, Monica & MoJoGlow extends beyond makeup into music and performance, united by a singular mission: soul work—to uplift, empower, and bring the “MoJo,” that spark that reminds people of their own light.

At the heart of everything Monica does is transformation, resilience, and the beauty of becoming. When she’s not producing, creating, or performing, you’ll find her at the piano, designing spaces, traveling, cooking something delicious, or dreaming up what’s next.

ABOUT BASIA

Basia Thomas is a pianist, educator, and multidisciplinary artist whose work is rooted in a deep curiosity for sound across genres and cultures. Moving fluidly between classical, jazz, musical theatre, blues, and global traditions, her artistry is defined by both versatility and a genuine spirit of exploration.

Throughout her career, Basia has collaborated with a wide range of performers from intimate duos and 8-hand piano ensembles to large vocal studios and opera workshops, including productions of Candide and Così fan tutte. Her performance credits span diverse and dynamic projects such as the Japanese Art Song Project and Schumann’s Liederkreis, while her musical reach extends into traditions like African drumming, Steel Band, and chamber music.

A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Basia’s musical foundation was shaped at Overton High School for the Performing Arts. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Delta State University and her Master of Music in Piano Performance from Montclair State University. Her work has taken her across the United States and internationally, including masterclasses in South Korea, enriching both her performance and teaching practice.

Basia’s artistry has been recognized with numerous honors, including first place at the International Blues Conference in Cleveland, Mississippi, top prize in Delta State University’s Chamber Ensemble Competition, and multiple distinctions for outstanding performances in festivals, recitals, and stage productions.

Now based in New Jersey, Basia continues to balance performing, teaching, and creative exploration. Whether on stage or in the studio, she is driven by a singular intention: to create meaningful connection through music. When she’s not at the piano, she enjoys traveling, discovering new ideas, and spending time with her beloved cat, Aria.
